OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt announced Wednesday that sophomore receiver Pat Patterson has been dismissed from the Rebel football squad for "violation of team rules."
A native of Macon, Miss., Patterson collected 12 receptions for 180 yards and a TD in his lone season in the Red and Blue. He saw action in 12 of the 13 games in 2009 with a start against Alabama.
Patterson's best outing came against Southeastern Louisiana, when he hauled in four passes for 79 yards with a 29-yard scoring catch. He caught at least one pass in six games.
