Barksdale No Longer Member of Football Team

OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt announced Saturday that freshman safety Darius Barksdale is no longer a member of the Rebel football squad so he can address personal issues.

A native of Batesville, Miss., Barksdale was a U.S. Army All-America selection out of South Panola High School. He also earned All-America honors from SuperPrep and EA SPORTS.

Before arriving in Oxford, Barksdale spent a season at Hargrave Military Academy where he was tabbed the No. 3 safety in the nation.
