2:48 PM: Vanderbilt is running out the clock and that'll do it. Vanderbilt 28, Ole Miss 14. So long, everybody.
2:47 PM: Masoli's pass is intercepted in Vanderbilt territory with 1:43 to play.
2:42 PM: Vanderbilt goes for it on fourth down and is stopped short. The Rebels get the ball back at their own 35-yard line.
2:36 PM: Turnover on downs by the Rebels and Vanderbilt takes control of the game with 4:22 to play.
2:27 PM: The PA music was piped into the press box leading into that timeout. So Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" rang out through the box. I didn't even know what to do.
2:21 PM: One play and Larry Smith finds the end zone. After the PAT it's Vanderbilt 28, Ole Miss 14 with 8:04 to play.
2:20 PM: Korvic Neat fumbles after a first down carry and the Commodores recover at the Ole Miss 15-yard line.
2:18 PM: Big stop by the Rebel defense gives Ole Miss another chance to tie this game. This time the Rebels will have to go 93 yards in order to do that.
2:13 PM: The Rebels are stopped on 4th and 1 giving Vanderbilt the ball at midfield with 9:50 to play.
2:01 PM: Big stop by the Ole Miss defense. The Rebels will have another huge drive beginning at their own 14-yard line.
1:59 PM: Vanderbilt takes back over at their own 42-yard line.
1:54 PM: That takes us to the 4Q with Vanderbilt leading 21-14.
1:51 PM: Great punt coverage by the Commodores and the Rebels will regain possession at their own 4-yard line.
1:43 PM: The Rebels stall in the red zone. Bryson Rose's 32-yard FG attempt is no good. We're still at 21-14 in favor of the Commodores.
1:38 PM: Jeremiah Masoli with an excellent fake sneak on fourth down. Today's announced attendance is 51, 667.
1:32 PM: Just like that Warren Norman takes a hand-off 80 yards for a Vanderbilt touchdown. The PAT is good giving the Commodores a 21-14 lead.
1:27 PM: It's confirmed and Bryson Rose's PAT ties the game at 14 with 8:34 to play in the third quarter.
1:25 PM: An unreal 28-yard touchdown run by Jeremiah Masoli gives the Rebels a chance to tie. The play is under review, however.
1:14 PM: Before the third down play, RB Brandon Bolden was standing against the fence separating the stands from the sideline trying to aid the Ole Miss fans' excitement.
1:08 PM: Nice halftime meal of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and chocolate cake. Now we're back to the second half with Ole Miss kicking it away to the Commodores.
12:48 PM: That takes us to the half with Vanderbilt leading by a score of 14-7.
12:44 PM: The Rebels are on the board thanks to Korvic Neat's first career touchdown. That drive was aided by a 31-yard reception by Jesse Grandy. Bryson Rose's PAT is good cutting the Vanderbilt lead to 14-7.
12:34 PM: On first down Jeremiah Masoli's pass was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Vanderbilt's Eddie Foster. The PAT is good and Vanderbilt now leads 14-0.
12:32 PM: And the Rebels get the stop and force the Commodore punt team to return.
12:30 PM: All I know is The Who's Baba O'Riley is playing over the loud speaker during the timeout. Maybe that'll turn things around. "OUT HERE IN THE FIELDS....DUN...DUN..." That said, Ole Miss is looking for a stop on 3rd down.
12:24 PM: Another punt for Tyler Campbell, this one a 65-yard rocket. The Commodores will take over at their own 20-yard line.
12:18 PM: And the Commodores are on the board after a 35-yard TD run by Zac Stacy.
12:10 PM: I kid. But Tyler Campbell's punt was downed at the Vanderbilt 4-yard line.
12:08 PM: What's the most notable play, thus far, you say? Dexter McCluster's CellularSouth commercial was featured to a rousing applause.
12:03 PM: The Commodores are forced to punt deep in their own territory after Larry Smith is sacked by D.T. Shackelford. After the punt the Rebels will regain possession at their own 44-yard line.
11:57 AM: We're at the end of the 1Q here in Oxford with no score.
11:51 AM: Sorry for the delay. We've now gone into the new millenium with our in-game blogging. See? Pictures! That said, if you have any questions for the blog be sure to e-mail us at webchat@olemiss.edu.
11:38 AM: The Rebel defense holds again, due in large part to penalties by the Commodores. Jesse Grandy calls for a fair catch on the punt and Jeremiah Masoli will take over at his own 45-yard line.
11:33 AM: The Rebels are forced to another three-and-out. Korvic Neat had his season long carry of 8 yards on the drive. After the punt the Commodores will regain possession at their own 21-yard line.
11:30 AM: During the TV timeout, Ole Miss soccer was featured on the jumbotron. The Rebels host TCU tomorrow at 1 PM at Gillom Sports Center.
11:28 AM: Even after a 15-yard penalty, Ole Miss is able to corral the Commodores on great pursuit by Damien Jackson to force a Vanderbilt punt. No return and Ole Miss will take over at their own 26-yard line.
11:24 AM: The Rebels go three-and-out and bring on Tyler Campbell for his first punt of the day. Good coverage by Ole Miss and the Commodores will take over at their own 23-yard line.
11:22 AM: Vanderbilt's opening kickoff goes out of the endzone for a touchback. Masoli and the Rebels will take over at their own 20-yard line.
11:19 AM: Kentrell Lockett and Jeremiah Masoli led today's pregame "Are You Ready?"
11:18 AM: Captains for the Rebels are Kentrell Lockett, Jerrell Powe, Johnny Brown, and Jonathan Cornell.
11:13 AM: National anthem was accompanied by a flyover. It happened so fast that I didn't even see it.
11:04 AM: Pregame player introductions complete. As you probably know by now, QB Jeremiah Masoli is making his first home start as a Rebel.
11:00 AM: We're about 20 minutes from kickoff and the fans that are here early are largely dressed in red just like the team.
10:57 AM: Word is that DE Cameron Whigham is not dressed out today due to a knee injury and Mike Marry is not dressed, as well. However, freshman RB Jeff Scott is dressed out.
10:48 AM: We're settled in at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford and just like two weeks ago the weather is picture perfect. Vanderbilt will be in the visiting gold helmets, white shirts, and white pants while the Rebels will be clad in the navy helmets, red shirts, and grey pants.
