OXFORD, Miss. -Ole Miss hosts Fresno State today in the second of three straight games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

All Rebel fans are asked to wear blue for the game, which gets underway at 6:30 p.m. It will be televised by CSS and can also be seen on ESPN3.com. Fans can hear the game on the Ole Miss Radio Network, Sirius 218, XM 201 or OleMissSports.com via RebelVision.

The Rebels (1-2, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) look to bounce back from a 28-14 loss to Vanderbilt in the league opener.

Jeremiah Masoli became the first Ole Miss player since Archie Manning in 1969 to rush and pass for more than 100 yards when he ran for 104 and threw for 190 against the Commodores. But Vanderbilt took advantage of three Ole Miss turnovers and key dropped passes to claim its first victory of the season.

In his first season with the Rebels, Masoli ranks third in the SEC in total offense (246.7 yards per game), sixth in passing yards per game (193.3) and eighth in pass efficiency (129.3). As a team, Ole Miss ranks fifth in the league in total offense (412.7 yards per game) and pass efficiency (147.0).

"I really believe in (the Ole Miss players) and I'm going to let them know that every single day when they hit the field," Rebel head coach Houston Nutt said. "You either get better or you get worse. The one thing they've always said is that our teams play the hardest. That is one thing I am really going to push for. We have always been known for playing at the highest level, and I want to be known for doing that. I can live with whatever happens if they play their hardest and give themselves the best opportunity to win."

Ole Miss will face Fresno State (2-0, 1-0 Western Athletic Conference) for the first time in program history. It's only the second time Ole Miss has ever played a team from California (Long Beach State, 1971). The Rebels have an 8-1 record all-time against Louisiana Tech, the only other WAC opponent the team has faced.

Pat Hill's Bulldogs have beaten Cincinnati and Utah State to open the season. Led by quarterback Ryan Colburn, who is 33-for-47 with 396 yards and five touchdowns, the team averages 34.5 points and 337.5 yards per game. Fresno State is receiving votes in both national polls.

"Fresno State is probably the best team we will have played all year," Nutt said. "They're a really good football team. They always play hard. They do a good job both offensively and defensively. Their defense does not give up points easily. They have linebackers and defensive front guys that are very active and aggressive. Their corners do a good job. We have to get back on the practice field and have a great plan."
