Ole Miss Women's Basketball Preseason Update

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's basketball team continues its preparation for its season opener on November 11 at 11 a.m. versus North Florida.
"Practice is going very well," head coach Renee Ladner said. "The team is playing hard, absorbing a lot of information and playing with a lot of energy. We are excited for the season to start."
Ole Miss returns four starters and 10 letterwinners from last season's team and welcomes five newcomers to this season's team.
Hope Cleared
Sophomore Pa'Sonna Hope has been cleared after tearing her ACL near the end of last season. The 6-0 forward from Cleveland, Ohio, played in 25 games and made 21 starts as a freshman. She missed the final four games of the season. Hope led the team in rebounding, averaging 6.6 rebounds per game and was named the SEC Freshman of the Week in December.
SEC Media Days
Head coach Renee Ladner and senior Nikki Byrd will travel to Birmingham, Ala., on Thursday, October 27 to take part in the annual SEC Media Days. Ole Miss' session will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. After the event, an update, quotes and videos will be available on OleMissSports.com.
Meet the Ole Miss Women's Hoops Team Prior To The LA Tech Football Game
The Ole Miss women's basketball team will be signing posters and handing out schedules prior to the LA Tech football game in Rebel Fanfare, which is which is located across All-American Drive from the Starnes Center and John Vaught statue on campus. The LA Tech game time has not been announced yet but Rebel Fanfare opens three hours prior to kickoff.
McFarland Sees Time At Pan Am Games With Team USA
Sophomore point guard Valencia McFarland played in all three of Team USA's Pan Am group stage games. The team went 1-2 in group play and is playing in the seventh/eighth place game this morning against Jamaica. McFarland recorded a Team USA Pan Am game record seven steals against Argentina. She has scored, recorded at least one rebound and at least one assist in each game for Team USA.

Season tickets are on sale now through the Ole Miss ticket office. Season tickets are just $63 for all 16 homes games or single-game tickets are available for $5 per game. All seats are general admission.
