BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second time this season, Ole Miss senior Logan Waites has been named Southeastern Conference Cross Country Co-Women's Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Waites placed seventh overall and first among SEC runners among a field of 262 competitors at the Greater Louisville Classic this past weekend. She recorded a personal-best 5K time of 17:09.75 to out-distance the SEC's closest competitor (Vanderbilt's Liz Anderson) by almost seven seconds, while helping the Rebels to a third-place result at the prestigious meet.

A native of Hattiesburg, Miss., Waites currently holds the second-best women's 5K time in the SEC so far this season.

She also received SEC Co-Women's Runner of the Week honors after her winning performance at the Delaware Invitational. In three meets this season, she has finished top 10 each time and has won an individual title twice.
