OXFORD, Miss. - Two days of overwhelming support by the Ole Miss family has lifted the Forward Together campaign to the $40 million mark as Friday's early reward deadline arrives.
Any Capital Gift Agreement (CGA) commitments received by the UMAA Foundation by midnight tonight will garner the early reward benefits.
The campaign, which launched just eight weeks ago, garnered $10 million between Thursday and Friday and is rapidly approaching its $150 million goal.
"To be almost a third of the way toward our goal in two months is beyond my expectations and speaks to the colossal level of support from our fans," said Danny White, UMAA Foundation Executive Director. "Those that have not committed still have a few hours left to receive the early reward benefits."
White said a number of the commitments thus far have been for premium seating.
"The amount of interest in the suite and club seating for both football and basketball is exciting, particularly those seeking premium seating for the first time," White said. "It's thrilling to see so many loyal fans use this campaign as an opportunity to raise their level of commitment to Ole Miss."
"As an alumna, I can't express how proud I am to watch the Rebel family unite with the mission of taking our facilities to another level," said head women's basketball coach Renee Ladner. "The campaign has come so far so fast, and I can't wait to see where we will be by the January deadline."
For those that miss the early reward deadline, the final date to commit to seats in a CGA section is January 6, 2012.
Anyone with questions about the campaign, the CGA or other ways to contribute is encouraged to contact the UMAA Foundation at 662-915-7159 or visit www.forwardtogetherrebels.com.
