OXFORD, Miss. - Desoto County Rebels will have the opportunity to see the Ole Miss basketball team in action and hear from new football coach Hugh Freeze Wednesday night, Dec. 21 at Southaven's Desoto Civic Center.

Tickets are on sale for the Rebel hoops team's matchup with the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders beginning at $15 by visiting ticketmaster.com, calling 1-800-745-3000 or stopping by the DeSoto Civic Center box office.

Before the game tips off at 8 p.m., Freeze, the Rebels' 37th head football coach, will be speaking in the arena's Main Banquet Room at 7 p.m. Fans with a ticket to the game will be granted admission, space permitting.

Ole Miss has jumped out to a 9-1 record this season, with the only loss coming to current No. 11 Marquette in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The balanced Rebel attack features five players averaging in double figure points, while nearby Memphis native Reginald Buckner continues to be a defensive force, on the verge of becoming the school's all-time leader in blocked shots.

Middle Tennessee has soared to a 10-2 start, marking the fastest the Blue Raiders have reached 10 wins since 1990-91. Highlighting the MT slate is an 86-66 domination of UCLA in the EA Sports Maui Invitational, in which the Blue Raiders shot a Sun Belt record 90.9 percent from 3-point range.

The Rebels travel to Southern Miss on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., before Wednesday's Southaven contest. The USM game will be televised by FSN, while CSS will carry the MTSU bout.
