Randolph Two Back At Jones Cup Invitational After Round One

ST. SIMON'S ISLAND, Ga. - With temps only in the 50s and steady rain throughout the day, scores were high in the first round of the 2011 Jones Cup Invitational Friday, making senior Ole Miss men's golfer Jonathan Randolph's 73 all the more impressive. The Brandon, Miss., native carded five birdies and ended the day in a tie for second.
Randolph is three back of first round leader Jack Fields (Pine Fields, N.C.), who shot 2-under 70 and was the only player to go under par for the day.
The Jones Cup Invitational is a who's who of collegiate and amateur golfers. Last year's NCAA Champion (Scott Langley - Illinois), as well as the SEC Player of the Year (Russell Henley - Georgia), is in the field.
