Rebels Travel To Auburn To Face No. 22 Tigers

OXFORD, Miss. - After picking up its first SEC win of the season on Wednesday against Arkansas, the Ole Miss softball team will travel to Auburn, Ala. to face the No. 22-ranked Auburn Tigers in a three-game SEC series beginning on Friday.

First pitch for Friday's game is set for 6 p.m. at Jane B. Moore Field, while the Saturday and Sunday contests will start at 1 p.m. Fans can hear all the action on 102.1 FM in Oxford, 101.3 FM in Grenada and online at RebSportsRadio.com.

The Tigers are 26-4 overall this season and hold a 6-2 mark in SEC play. They are ranked No. 22 the ESPN/USA Softball Top 25 and No. 23 the USA Today/NFCA Coaches' poll. Freshman Morgan Estell leads Auburn with a .392 batting average and 25 RBI, while Angel Bunner has posted an 8-1 record and a 1.36 ERA in the circle. As a staff, the Tigers have posted a 1.74 ERA.

Auburn leads the all-time series 32-14and took 2-of-3 from the Rebels last season in Oxford. Ole Miss last won a series in Auburn in 2007 when the Rebels took 2-of-3 from the Tigers.
