OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss officially announced Tuesday the addition of UTEP to the 2012 football schedule and new dates and locations with two other opponents.

In just the second meeting between the two schools, the Rebels will host the Miners on Sept. 8, 2012 in the second game of the season. Their only other encounter was a 14-7 UTEP win in 1967.

The Miners are coming off their third bowl appearance in seven seasons under head coach Mike Price. UTEP tied for fourth place in C-USA's West Division and beat eventual division champion SMU, 28-14, in the Sun Bowl.

With the additional home game in 2012, Ole Miss' meeting with Tulane that season has been moved to the Louisiana Superdome, set for Sept. 22, 2012. The two return games to Oxford are now set for 2017 and 2021.

The Rebels' originally-schedule 2012 road game at UAB has been postponed to 2016. The Rebels and Blazers have one previous meeting, a 48-13 Ole Miss victory in Oxford in 2009.
