THIS WEEK FOR OLE MISS:
Ole Miss goes back on the road with a three-game series at #4 Florida that will be over the next weekend. Friday and Saturday's games are set for 6 p.m. with Sunday's game set for a noon start.
NEXT WEEK FOR THE REBELS:
The Rebels will play the final regularly scheduled midweek contest next week when Ole Miss travels to take on the Red Wolves of Arkansas State on Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for May 10, but was moved because of finals. The Rebels will then return home to face South Carolina in a three-game series at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field.

OM - Matt Crouse, Jr., LHP
NOTING CROUSE: Junior left-hander Matt Crouse enters the weekend's contests at Florida holding to a 6-2 record with a 2.81 ERA through a team-leading 67.1 innings of work. In that time, Crouse has struck out 47 batters and walked only 10 while holding batters to a .244 batting average against. Through 10 starts, Crouse has turned in seven quality starts and allowed two or fewer runs in eight outings. He has also pitched a pair of complete games and a pair of shutouts.

NOTING GOFORTH: Goforth enters the weekend slated to start on Saturday and is coming off back-to-back wins to move to 3-5 on the season. The right-hander holds a 4.60 ERA and has struck out 45 batters while walking 24 through 60.2 innings of work. Opponents are hitting at a .270 clip against the junior hurler, who has combined for one shutout in his 10 starts this season.
SUNDAY, NOON

OM - Austin Wright, Jr., LHP
NOTING WRIGHT: Wright takes the mound for Sunday's game against the Gators with an overall record of 4-3 on the year and an ERA of 4.43 this season. He has workd 53.2 innings and is tied for the team lead with 50 strikeouts. Wright has walked 20 batters through his 10 starts. The sophomore has combined for one shutout on the year, working a season-long 8.0 scoreless innings in a series clinching win at Tennessee.
A LOOK AT FLORIDA:
The Gators of Florida enter the weekend with an overall record of 31-10 and a 14-4 mark in SEC play after posting a sweep of Alabama this past weekend. As a team, the Gators are batting at a .315 clip with Josh Adams leading the way with a .369 batting average. Preston Tucker leads the power output with nine home runs and 39 RBI to date. On the mound, the Gators pitching staff holds a 2.64 ERA with 309 strikeouts and 77 walks this season. Friday night starter Hudson Randall anchors the staff with a 7-1 record and a 1.53 ERA.
OLE MISS VS. FLORIDA:
Ole Miss and Florida have faced off 86 times with the Rebels holding a 44-42 lead in the all-time series. The Rebels lead 19-10 under head coach Mike Bianco and claimed last season's series in Oxford. Ole Miss has won two consecutive series and five of the last six series against the Gators.
LAST TIME OUT VS. FLORIDA:
Ole Miss took the first two games of the series last year in Oxford, claiming a 3-2 win on Friday night before posting a 15-3 win on Saturday. The Gators rallied to win the Sunday game 13-1.
SOME HAVE HIT STREAKS ON THE LINE:
Several players hold hit streaks heading into the contest with Arkansas-Pine Bluff, led by senior OF/LHP Matt Tracy. Tracy has hit safely in nine straight games. Matt Snyder (3) also has an active hit streaks of more than two games coming into the midweek game.
OTHERS KEEP REACHING BASE:
While Tanner Mathis saw his 23 game hit streak end at Auburn, the sophomore has reached base in more consecutive games. Mathis currently holds a streak of 30 straight games reaching base. Matt Smith had reached in 14 consecutive games before failing to reach base in Friday night's game against Georgia. Blake Newalu (10) and Matt Smith (10) hold the second longest active streaks for reaching base safely, with Matt Tracy working on another streak at nine consecutive games reached.
