Jonathan Randolph Named To PING All-Region Team

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss men's golfer Jonathan Randolph earned Division I PING All-Southeast Region honors for the third consecutive year as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Wednesday.

Randolph, a native of Brandon, Miss., recently concluded an outstanding career at Ole Miss. This year he earned All-SEC honors again, posted four top five and six top 10 finishes and led the Rebels with a 71.77 stroke average.

"I am proud of Jonathan. He represented himself and the University very well. I know after he leaves Ole Miss , he'll have success in the professional ranks," head coach Ernest Ross said.

Randolph steadily became one of the top golfers in the SEC and the nation and leaves here with several records. In 2010, he posted the lowest stroke average (70.44) by a Rebel in a season and earned first team All-America honors. The three-time All-SEC honoree won three times during his career and posted 15 career top five and 21 career top 10 finishes to rank among third all-time in both categories.

Randolph, who made 46 of 48 tournaments during his career, helped lead the Rebels to four straight NCAA Regional appearances. He only missed two tournaments at the start of his sophomore year due to injury. After finishing third and second, respectively du ring his first two years, Randolph led the team in stroke average his last two years.

Next week, Randolph will be competing in the prestigious Sunnehanna Amateur in Johnstown, Pa. Randolph also recently qualified for the U.S. Amateur Public Links.
