ACTON, Ontario/BANDON, Ore. - While her future teammate, Ericka Schneider, was competing in the U.S. Am Public Links, rising senior Ole Miss women's golfer Natalie Gleadall participated in her first ever Canadian Tour event this week and tied for 17th with a 75-76-151 at Blue Springs Golf Club.
The Stratford, Ontario native finished as the fourth lowest amateur in a top-notch field. Gleadall will continue her summer in July at the Ontario Amateur and the Canadian Amateur.
Schneider lost her first round match at the U.S. Public Links to Alex Stewart, a soon-to-be sophomore at Colorado. Stewart won 4 & 3. Despite the loss, Schneider said she had a great experience and is looking forward to future events.
Schneider will have the opportunity for one more round of golf at Bandon Dunes. The resort is letting players who lost their first match play other courses. Schneider is playing Pacific Dunes on the Ocean.
