OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's tennis team will kick off the fall season this weekend at the Duke Fab Four Invitational in Durham, N.C.

The tournament begins Friday and concludes Sunday with the final round.

Joining Ole Miss and host Duke is an elite field with players from Alabama, Illinois, Miami, North Carolina, Purdue, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia and William & Mary.

"We are extremely excited to kick off the fall season. The first two weeks of practice have been phenomenal," head coach Mark Beyers said. "We are excited and curious to see how they will do in a tournament setting. The Duke Fab Four Invitational is a great tournament and features some of the top players in the country. It will be a great test for our girls."

Senior All-American Kristi Boxx returns to Durham to defend her title. Last year, the Grenada, Miss., native went 4-0 to win her flight, including beating Duke's No. 1 player as well as the eventual ACC Rookie of the Year, also from Duke. Boxx enters the opening weekend of play ranked No. 22 in the nation in singles.

Joining Boxx in Durham will be fellow senior Abby Guthrie, sophomore Caroline Rohde-Moe and freshman Julia Jones, who will be making her debut for the Rebels. Guthrie teams up with Boxx for a No. 15 ranking in doubles, while Rohde-Moe is ranked No. 75 in singles.
