FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - After battling to a 1-1 tie in regulation, the Ole Miss soccer team fell at Arkansas 2-1 in overtime Friday night.

The Razorbacks scored the game-winning goal in the 93rd minute.

With the loss Ole Miss fell to 4-4-1 (0-1 SEC) while Arkansas improved to 3-5 (1-0 SEC).

Maddie Cunningham scored her first career goal for the Rebels to tie the game at 1-1 in the 24th minute. Beth Stratton scored the game winner for Arkansas in overtime in the 93rd minute.

"This is a devastating loss based on how the game went," head coach Matt Mott said. "We had chances to win the game in regulation and didn't finish and we had a breakdown that led to their game-winning goal. We have to get back up, dust ourselves off and get ready for LSU."

The Rebels ended the game with 10 shots (four on goal) while the Razorbacks finished with 19 (seven on goal). Souza took a team-high four shots for Ole Miss.

Neither team had a good scoring opportunity until the 21st minute. As Rafaelle Souza was played the ball from the midfield, she cut past two defenders and fired a long-range driven shot that Arkansas keeper Emily Lillard had to push over the crossbar.

The Razorbacks took the lead less than two minutes later. Kailey Anders played a ball across the box to Jeri Ann Okoro who hit a lofted ball to the far upper corner to give Arkansas a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute.

Ole Miss wasted little time tying the game as Cunningham scored her first career goal when she headed in Souza's corner kick on the back post in the 24th minute.

The Razorbacks threatened in the 32nd minute as Okoro found herself near the corner of the six-yard box but Rebels goalkeeper Alley Ronaldi came out and cut off her angle to make the save. Ronaldi again kept Arkansas off the board just four minutes before half as she made a save on a close-range shot from Anders.

Eight minutes into the second half, Souza hit driven shot that was deflected out of bounds for an Ole Miss corner kick.

Souza again had a chance in the 71st minute as she beat the Razorback defense and got the keeper off her line but her attempt missed wide.

In the 81st minute, Dylan Jordan found Alix Hildal who hit a one-time shot that forced the Razorback keeper to knock it out of bounds.

With less than two minutes to play, Taylor Green hit the crossbar for Arkansas.

Souza is on pace to break into Ole Miss' season record book for points in a season. Through nine games she has recorded 19 points and needs just seven more point to tie for 10th on the Rebels' single-season list.

Ronaldi finished the game with five saves for Ole Miss.

Ole Miss will play at LSU Sunday at 1 p.m.
