Former Ole Miss Track All-American Dies

OXFORD, Miss. - Former Ole Miss track and field All-American John Yarbrough died early Saturday morning in a car accident in Orlando, Fla.

Yarbrough's older brother, Linnie Jr., who was an All-American track athlete and a football player at Middle Tennessee State University, was also in the car and is in critical condition with a head injury.

John starred in the short hurdles for Ole Miss from 2005-08. He was a three-time All-American, earning that distinction in 2006 (outdoor 110-meter hurdles) and 2007 (indoor 60-meter hurdles, outdoor 110-meter hurdles). He finished runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships. He also claimed the 2007 SEC indoor title in the 60-meter hurdles.
