THIS WEEK FOR OLE MISS:
Ole Miss will play four home games this week, beginning with a Tuesday night contest against Jackson State at 6:30 p.m. It marks the second time the Rebels will face Jackson State this season. Ole Miss will then play host to top-ranked Florida in a three-game series at Swayze Field. Friday night's contest is set for a 6:30 p.m. start with Saturday's start set for 1:30 p.m. and Sunday set for a 12:30 p.m. pitch.
NEXT WEEK FOR THE REBELS:
Ole Miss will play four games away from the friendly confines of Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field, kicking things off with a midweek contest against Southern Miss at 6:30 p.m. at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Miss. The Rebels will then continue to play on the road, facing the second-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington in a three-game series beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT on Friday afternoon.

NOTING ELLIS: Freshman right-hander Chris Ellis looks to make his first start of the season for the Rebels when he takes the mound against Jackson State on Tuesday evening. This season, Ellis holds a 1-0 record and has made seven appearances with his relief win coming in relief in the Sunday game against UNC-Wilmington. Ellis has worked 11.2 innings this year and holds a 3.86 ERA to go along with nine strikeouts and three walks. Opponents are hitting at a .184 clip with Ellis on the mound.
A LOOK AT JACKSON STATE:
The Tigers of Jackson State enter Tuesday night's contest with an overall record of 16-7 and are coming off a series win on the road at Florida A&M, dropping the first game of the series before winning the final two games. K Logan leads the Tigers at the plate with a .386 batting average and is one of four Tigers who have started more than three games to hit over the .300 mark. Logan has also contributed eight home runs and 28 RBI to the Tigers' season, leading the squad in power production as well. As a pitching staff, the Tigers hold a team ERA of 3.87 and have posted 168 strikeouts while walking 128 walks on the year. Opponents are hitting at a .257 clip against the Tiger pitchers.
OLE MISS VS. JACKSON STATE:
Ole Miss and Jackson State have faced off six times with the Rebels holding a 6-0 record in those meetnigs. The two teams first met in 1993 with Ole Miss claiming a 9-4 win at Jackson State. The two teams have already met once this season in Oxford on February 29.
LAST TIME OUT VS. JACKSON STATE:
Ole Miss and Jackson State met for the first time this season on Wednesday, Febaruary 29 at O-U Stadium/Swayze Field. The Rebels picked up a 13-1 win in that meeting. Josh Laxer picked up the win in his first start of the season and worked 4.0 innings on a predetermined pitch count. Zach Kirksey led the offense with a 2-for-3 performance that included five RBI, a walk and a three-run home run.

OLE MISS VS. NON-CONFERENCE FOES UNDER BIANCO:
Ole Miss has posted an impressive non-conference record over the course of the past nine seasons under head coach Mike Bianco. Since Bianco's arrival in Oxford in 2001, the Rebels have posted a 241-87-1 (.734 win percentage) mark in non-conference foes. Just a year ago, the Rebels were 17-8 in non-conference games, posting a .654 win percentage. This season, Ole Miss is 14-4 in non-conference games.
HIT STREAKS ON THE LINE:
Four Rebels hold hit streaks of more than one game heading into the midweek contest against Jackson State on Tuesday night. Will Allen leads the team with an active streak of eight games with a hit, while Will Jamison and Alex Yarbrough are right behind him with a hit in the last three games. Preston Overbey has hit safely in back-to-back games.
THEY KEEP REACHING BASE:
Will Allen also currently leads the team in consecutive games reaching base this season. Allen has reached safely in eight straight games to lead the team. Tanner Mathis and Andrew Mistone both hold a five-game streak of reaching safely following the weekend, while Auston Bousfield, Will Jamison and Alex Yarbrough have reached base safely in three straight games.
