THIS WEEK FOR OLE MISS:
Ole Miss will continue its 13-game home stand with a single midweek contest this week, hosting Tennessee-Martin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. The Rebels will then face off against the Houston Cougars in a three-game series this weekend beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night. Saturday's contest will begin at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday's series finale is set for a noon start.

NEXT WEEK FOR THE REBELS:
Ole Miss will hit the road for the first time since the opening weekend next week when the Rebels travel to face No. 16 Louisville in a pair of midweek games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Ole Miss will then return home to kick off Southeastern Conference play with a weekend series against the Auburn Tigers at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field.

PROBABLE PITCHING MATCH-UPS:

OM - Sam Smith, Fr., RHP
NOTING SMITH: Freshman right-hander Sam Smith is slated to make his third start of the season against UT-Martin on Tuesday night in the Rebels' only midweek contest this week. Smith holds a 1-0 record on the mound with six strikeouts and a walk in 10.1 innings of work. He has allowed three runs on eight hits for a 2.61 ERA in his three appearances that includes two starts and a relief outing at No. 10 TCU in the season opener. In his last start against Memphis, Smith allowed two runs on five hits with four strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work and took no decision.

A LOOK AT UT-MARTIN:
The Skyhawks of UT-Martin enter the Tuesday night contest with an overall record of 3-9 and are coming off a series loss to UALR in which the Skyhawks were swept by the Trojans. UT-Martin is led at the plate by Jordan Owen who is hitting at a .413 clip and leads the team with four home runs, 11 RBI and 10 runs scored this season. Expected starter Dalton Potts will make his first start of the year after four relief appearances in 2012. He holds a 24.30 ERA after allowing nine earned runs on 10 hits in 3.1 innings of work for the Skyhawks. He has posted four strikeouts and four walks in that time.

OLE MISS VS. UT-MARTIN:
Ole Miss and UT-Martin have faced-off 13 times in the history of the two schools with the Rebels holding a 12-1 lead in the all-time series. The two teams first met in 1992 with the Rebels claiming a 5-0 win over the Skyhakws.

LAST TIME OUT VS. UT-MARTIN:
Ole Miss last faced UT-Martin in the 2010 season with the Rebels claiming a 15-6 win. Matt Smith led the Rebels in that outing with a 4-for-4 performance that included three RBI and two runs scored. He was also hit by a pitch to reach base in all five plate appearances that game. Tanner Mathis also made an appearance in that game, working 3.0 innings on the mound and allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts in the relief appearance.

The home field has been kind to the Rebels during Bianco's tenure as Ole Miss has posted a 291-109-1 record within the friendly confines of O-U Stadium/Swayze Field for a .727 winning percentage at home.

OLE MISS VS. NON-CONFERENCE FOES UNDER BIANCO:
Ole Miss has posted an impressive non-conference record over the course of the past nine seasons under head coach Mike Bianco. Since Bianco's arrival in Oxford in 2001, the Rebels have posted a 236-85-1 (.734 win percentage) mark in non-conference foes. Just a year ago, the Rebels were 17-8 in non-conference games, posting a .654 win percentage.

SURGING ATTENDANCE:
Rebel baseball continues to be one of the top draws for the sport on the collegiate level as the Rebels ranked second nationally in average attendance a year ago. It marked the fifth straight season for Ole Miss to finish in the top 5 nationally for attendance and the seventh consecutive season in the top 10 for the Rebels.

Currently, the Rebels are third in the nation in total attendance with 65,323 fans at O-U Stadium through nine home games. The Rebels are fourth in average attendnace with 7,258 fans per game at the park. All of the top five attendance leaders are in the Southeastern Conference by average.
