This Saturday, Ole Miss Athletics is welcoming back four former Rebels who went on play professional football for a panel discussion entitled NFL & Beyond. The event will take place on the Grove stage at 11 a.m. prior to the BancorpSouth Grove Bowl at 1 p.m. The attendees include two current players (two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning and Stacy Andrews) and former pros Ronnie Heard and Tre' Stallings, who have both gone on to careers in college athletics.

Today we take a look at the career highlights of the man who will command the biggest presence (literally) on the Grove stage, Stacy Andrews.

Despite being a member of the Rebel football program for justone year (2003), Stacy Andrews was selected in the fourth round of the 2004 NFLDraft by the Cincinnati Bengals.  Beforeswitching over to the gridiron, Andrews was a star thrower on the Rebel trackteam, earning All-America honors during the 2003 indoor (weight throw) andoutdoor (discus) seasons.

Since his time in Oxford, Andrews has played for four NFLteams. He began his professional career with Cincinnati, playing in all of theBengals' games during both the 2006 and 2007 seasons. In 2007, the 6-7,340-pound lineman started three games at left tackle and eleven at righttackle. He started all 15 games in which he played in 2008.

On Feb. 27, 2009, Andrews signed a six-year contract withthe Philadelphia Eagles, which connected him with his brother Shawn, anoffensive lineman for the Eagles at the time.

In 2010, Andrews was traded to the Seattle Seahawks and wasa full-time starter there for one year.

Andrews signed with the New York Giants on Aug. 3, 2011 andplayed in nine games during the team's Super Bowl XLVI season.  His season was cut short, however, after hewas hospitalized with pulmonary embolisms in both of his lungs in earlyDecember.
