OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss baseball team will host Camper Appreciation weekend for the second straight season on Saturday as a part of a big weekend for local youth at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field during the Rebels' baseball series against Tennessee.
All campers who attended the 2011 Summer Baseball Camps or the 2011-12 Winter Baseball Camps will be granted a general admission ticket for Saturday's baseball game and will be allowed to run on the field with the Rebels for the national anthem prior to the game. Simply wear your camp t-shirt or check in with the sign up table out in front of O-U Stadium for your ticket.
Also happening at the ballpark this weekend will be Scout Night on Friday night with kids wearing their Boy Scout or Girl Scout uniform gaining free admission to the series opener against the Volunteers.
Sunday afternoon's series finale will be Youth League Day and any kids wearing their youth league jersey will get into the game for free. Kids will be allowed to run the bases following the Sunday game. Ole Miss baseball cards will also be given out to the first 500 fans through the gates.
Friday night's contest begins at 6:30 p.m., while Saturday's game is set for a 4 p.m. start. Sunday's series finale will start at 1:30 p.m.
