OAKLAND - Wayne Dorsey joins the list of Ole Miss Rebels headed to the National Football League, as the defensive end inked a free-agent deal with the Oakland Raiders Monday.

He is among four Rebels from last year's squad that will be NFL rookies. Bobby Massie was drafted by Arizona, and Brandon Bolden and Bradley Sowell signed contracts with New England and Tampa Bay, respectively.

A Baltimore native, Dorsey led the team in sacks (3.0) and TFLs (5.0) this year despite playing in just six games before suffering a season-ending broken right arm. He was a Midseason All-SEC honoree before the injury.

Dorsey played in 18 games with 10 starts in his two seasons in the Red and Blue after transferring from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he was the No. 1 JUCO recruit in the nation.

Dorsey continues a rich tradition of Rebels in the NFL, which includes 279 all-time draft picks and 19 first-round selections. A total of 24 former players finished the 2011 campaign on league rosters, and 16 started games for their respective clubs.
