Rebels Bow Out Of NCAA Doubles Championship

ATHENS, Ga. - The Ole Miss women's tennis team concluded the 2012 season as seniors Kristi Boxx and Abby Guthrie lost their first round match in the NCAA Doubles Championship here Thursday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Boxx and Guthrie, seeded 5-8, fell in straight sets to the 15th-ranked team of Jana Juricova and Zsofi Susanyi of California. The two teams battled to a first set tiebreak, which Juricova and Susanyi won 7-2. They carried that momentum over to the second set winning it 6-4.

With the loss, Boxx and Guthrie end the season one win shy of reaching 30 at 29-8.
