Wilder Ready For ITA Summer Championships

OXFORD, Miss. - Summer is winding down, and soon students will be returning to Oxford for the start of the fall semester. Before that happens, Oxford native Zach Wilder of the Ole Miss men's tennis team will begin competing in the ITA Summer Circuit Championship Saturday, hosted by Indiana University Aug. 11-14.
Wilder received a bye in the first round, but could play two rounds on Saturday. He will face Raymond Leonard of Ball State (also got a bye) in the second round round at 11 a.m.
On the line for participants is a wild card into the year's first major, the ITA All-American Championships. The runner-up will earn a spot in the qualifying round of the All-American.
Wilder redshirted last year for the Rebels, who finished the year ranked No. 14 in the nation.
