OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's tennis team looks to continue the momentum of the fall, as members of the team head to Charlottesville, Va., to participate in the Virginia Ranked+1 Invitational this weekend hosted by the University of Virginia at the Snyder Tennis Center.

The tournament will feature 64 players, as each school is allowed to enter one player for every ranked player they have competing. There will be four 16-player singles draws and four eight-team doubles draws.

The Rebels will send a contingent that includes senior Jonas Lutjen, who won the Southern Intercollegiate to start the fall. Lutjen (6-0) is ranked No. 21 in the nation in singles and No. 2 in doubles with sophomore Nik Scholtz.

Sophomore William Kallberg, ranked No. 56 in singles, will join Lutjen in the field along with junior Johan Backstrom and senior Adrian Forberg Skogeng.

"We had a great opening tournament in Athens (Ga.) to start the fall," head coach Billy Chadwick said. "We're looking forward to going to Virginia and hopefully picking up some more quality wins."

Joining the host Cavaliers and Ole Miss in the field are players from George Washington, Illinois, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, North Carolina, UNC Wilmington, NC State, Penn State, Radford, VCU, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and William & Mary.

Play begins each day at 9 a.m. Friday's schedule consists of two rounds of doubles, followed by one round of singles. Saturday will have one round of doubles and two rounds of singles. Sunday will feature the final round of singles.
