Softball Game At MSU Picked Up By ESPNU

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss softball team will have its game at Mississippi State on Friday, April 12 televised by ESPNU, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday. With the game being picked up by ESPNU, the start time has been pushed back one hour to 7 p.m. CT.

In addition to regular season action, fans can watch the SEC Tournament on ESPNU and ESPN2. Fans will also be able to access the ESPN and ESPN2 telecasts through WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN mobile app.

ESPN's returning line-up of college softball analysts includes Garland Cooper, Jennie Finch, Cheri Kempf, Jessica Mendoza, Michele Smith, and Amanda Scarborough with Beth Mowins, Pam Ward, Cara Capuano, Joe Davis, Holly Rowe and Adam Amin on deck bringing the play-by-play each week.

ESPN networks will present the largest schedule of college softball to date, according to an ESPN news release. The regular season schedule has 44 games across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. In addition, the season will culminate with ESPN's multiplatform coverage of every pitch in the NCAA Division I Softball Super Regionals and the NCAA Women's College World Series.

The Rebels open the season with a doubleheader Thursday in Honolulu against Saint Mary's and Hawaii as a part of the Oceanic Time Warner Cable Paradise Classic. The Rebels will face Saint Mary's at 5 p.m. CT and tournament-host No. 23 Hawaii at 10 p.m. CT.
