McFarland Leads Rebels In Final Game Of 2012-13

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Ole Miss women's basketball team fell on the road to Arkansas 93-52 in the Rebels' final game of the 2012-13 season.
With the loss Ole Miss ends the season 9-20 overall (2-14 SEC) while Arkansas improved to 18-11 overall (6-10 SEC).
Valencia McFarland led Ole Miss with 16 points, six rebounds and five assists. Gracie Frizzell added eight points for Ole Miss.
Ole Miss started the game with an early 8-2 lead with two minutes gone in the game. The Rebels forced the Razorbacks into six turnovers in their first seven possessions.
Arkansas took its first lead of the game, 14-12, with 13:54 remaining in the first half. The Razorbacks went on an 11-2 run to go ahead 32-20 with 7:32 to play.
At the half, Arkansas led 46-30. McFarland led Ole Miss with 12 points while Danielle McCray added six. As a team, Ole Miss shot 41.4 percent (12-29) from the floor while Arkansas shot 58.6 percent (17-29).
A free throw from Courtney Marbra to open the second half, cut the Razorbacks' lead to 46-31. Arkansas pushed its lead to 22, 58-36, with 14:58 left to play.
