รโข The series between the two teams is tied at 3-3 with the Rebels having won three of the last four games.
รโข Mississippi State claimed the first two games in the newly dubbed Governor's Cup game in 2007 and
2008.
รโข Ole Miss won last year's meeting 6-3 behind a four-run fourth inning that snapped a 1-1 game.

FAST STARTS KEY REBEL SUCCESS
Quick starts to games have been a key to Rebel success this season. When the Rebels get on the board often and early, Ole Miss tends to win. Through the first four innings, Ole Miss is outscoring its opponents by a whopping 108-to-43 margin. Ole Miss is 18-3 when scoring first this season and is 12-2 when scoring in the first inning.
ANDERSON TOUGH TO STRIKE OUT
Through 32 games and 119 at bats this season, Austin Anderson has struck out only three times. His first strikeout came in the final at bat of the first game at #11 Arkansas, 20 games into the season. Anderson ranks first nationally in the NCAA as toughest hitter to strikeout entering the week.
MULTIPLE-HIT AND MULTIPLE-RBI GAMES
Stuart Turner does a little bit of everything for the Rebels and currently leads the team in multiple-hit games and multiple-RBI games. To date, Turner has posted 16 multiple-hit games and 11 multiple-RBI games. Ten Rebels have posted multiple-hit games in 2012, while 10 Rebels have also posted multiple-RBI games this season. Austin Anderson (11), Will Allen (9) and Auston Bousfield (9) are behind him in multiple hit games this season.
STREAKING REBELS TO WATCH
Following the weekend series with the Vanderbilt Commodores that featured a finale with the Rebel bats starting to wake up again, the Rebels have eight players who hit safely in their last game played. Heading into this Tuesday night's game, three players hold hit streaks of more than one game with Austin Anderson (4) leading the way. Behind him are Sikes Orvis (2) and Andrew Mistone (2).
