Rebels to Host Mississippi State Sunday

OXFORD, Miss. - Sporting an 8-0 home record, the Ole Miss Volleyball team (15-3, 1-3) welcomes intrastate rival Mississippi State to the Gillom Sports Center Sunday with a chance to post the most consecutive home victories in the rally scoring era. The match begins at 1:30 p.m., and the first 200 fans will get a "Beat State" t-shirt.

NOTING THE REBELS ...
• The Rebels 8-0 record at home this season, equals the most consecutive home victories set in 2007.
• Taylor Alexander was named the SEC Freshman of the Week, marking the fourth weekly honor of the season for the Rebels and the second freshman honor.
• The Rebels rank third in the SEC in hitting percentage (.264), third in opponent hitting percentage (.172), third in assists per set (12.55), fourth in kills per set (13.50) and fifth in blocks per set (2.48).
• Junior Nakeyta Clair currently ranks second in the SEC in hitting percentage at .431, sixth in kills per set at 3.45 and fourth in points per set (4.10). Sophomore Aubrey Edie ranks fifth in assists per set at 11.03.

WRAPPING UP ARKANSAS MATCH ...
• Despite 16 kills and four blocks from junior Nakeyta Clair, the Rebels dropped a 3-0 match to Arkansas in front of a nationally-televised audience on the SEC Network Wednesday night at Barnhill Arena.
• Clair hit .520 to lead the offensive attack. Freshman Taylor Alexander finished one shy of her career-best with eight kills and added four blocks. Sophomore Aubrey Edie, in a return to her hometown, passed out 31 assists.

LOOKING AT STATE ...
• Mississippi State comes into Sunday's match at 5-15 overall, 0-5 in the SEC. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-0 loss at LSU on Wednesday.
• Ole Miss leads the series 63-27, including a 3-1 win last year in Starkville. In fact, the Rebels have won six of the last seven meetings. The last time the two teams met in Oxford (2012), Ole Miss won 3-0.
• The Bulldogs are led by freshman Libero Payton Harris, who put together 18 digs on the night against LSU, moving her to 486 on the season. The total places Harris at seventh in the individual season record list for digs. She leads the nation and the SEC at 6.85 digs per set.
• Junior middle blocker Alex Warren leads MSU in kills per set at 2.59 and is tied with sophomore middle blocker Bali Leffall-Young in blocks with 42.
