Suk Advances to Second Round at Rock Hill Open

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Ole Miss Women's Tennis freshman Natalie Suk advanced to the main draw at the USTA Rock Hills Rocks Open as a lucky loser, and on Wednesday, she won a three-setter to reach the second round.
The match was a tale of two very different first sets for Suk. The Florida native won the first set 6-0, but then her opponent, Russian Angelina Gabueva, won the second 6-0. The third set was much closer with Suk winning 6-4.
Suk will face Cindy Burger of the Netherlands, in the second round Thursday at 10 a.m. Burger is the No. 4 seed and ranked No. 233 in the WTA Rankings.
