Rebels to Host No. 15 Kentucky

OXFORD, Miss. - Sporting a 10-1 record at home, the Ole Miss volleyball team welcomes No. 15 Kentucky to the Gillom Sports Center Friday for a 6:30 p.m. match before hitting the road to conclude the weekend at Missouri on Sunday.
Fans will have the chance to win $100 in Rebel Bucks with the "Great Paper Airplane Toss" between the second and third sets.
NOTING THE REBELS ...
• Ole Miss (20-6, 6-6) went 1-1 last week, defeating Mississippi State 3-1 and losing to Texas A&M 3-1, both on the road.
• Junior Nakeyta Clair hit .492 on the week with 4.38 kills per set. She has now hit above .300 in 21 of 26 matches, including 14 above .400. With five blocks on the week, Clair became the second player in school history in the rally scoring era to reach 300 career blocks.
• Sophomore setter Aubrey Edie recorded a career-high 62 assists against Mississippi State to set the single match record in the rally scoring era and then set the single season record Sunday at Texas A&M with 53 assists. She now has 1,037 assists to date this year and needs 14 to notch 2,000 for her career.
SCOUTING KENTUCKY ...
• Kentucky comes into the match at 22-4 overall, 14-2 in the SEC. They are coming off a 2-0 weekend with wins over Georgia (3-1) and Missouri (3-0).
• The Wildcats are led by Lauren O'Conner who averages 3.43 kills per set. Jackie Napper, the reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Week, leads the team with 4.52 digs per set.
SEASON RECORD WATCH FOR CLAIR ...
With seven kills against Kentucky, Nakeyta Clair will set the single season record for kills in the rally scoring era. Whitney Craven holds the record with 324 in 2010. Clair is also on pace to set the single season record in hitting percentage in the rally scoring era with a current .423. Former All-American Regina Thomas owns the record at .421.
QUOTING HEAD COACH Steven McRoberts ...
"Kentucky is very good team, they are a balanced team. It will definitely be a challenge for us. We went 2-1 in our last three matches, but we had too many errors, which hurt us against Texas A&M. For us to have a chance against Kentucky, we have to cut down on our errors."
