OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's tennis team bolstered its future with the addition of five-star recruit Allie Sanford (Phoenix, Arizona) who signed a national letter of intent to join the program beginning in the fall of 2015, head coach Mark Beyers announced Friday.

Sanford has been ranked as high as No. 17 in the nation and No. 1 in the Southwest. She is currently ranked No. 31 for the class of 2015 on Tennisrecruiting.net.

"We are very excited to have Allie join the Ole Miss family," Beyers said. "She is an extremely athletic player who hasn't gotten close to reaching her potential. With the structure we provide here and the strength of the competition she'll be facing on a daily basis. I believe Allie will thrive once she gets here and become a huge part of our team in the upcoming years."

Sanford was a finalist in the National Open in singles and the National Open Doubles Champion. She also reached the finals in doubles at a Grade 4 ITF event and is a two-time Southwest Junior Closed Doubles Champion.
