KAUAI, Hawaii – Senior Blake Morris fired an impressive, career-low single round, 7-under 65 and climbed six spots on the leaderboard to lead the Ole Miss men’s golf team on the final day of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii.

The Waterbury, Connecticut, native, carded seven birdies, including four in a six-hole stretch, en route to a season-high, seventh-place finish, posting a three-round score of 13-under 203.

As a team, the Rebels finished in fourth place with a three-round score of 31-under 833, tying their season-best finish as a team. No. 11 Georgia Tech took home the tournament crown, firing a three-round score of 55-under 809.

“I am very proud of these guys,” head coach Chris Malloy said. “They have bought in to what we have asked them to do. Although we would have liked to have played better today, we are getting better. This team will be tough to beat as we get further into the year. Blake played great today. He is really starting to get some confidence back. Noah (West) had another solid tournament for us, which was great to see. We will get back and get better this offseason. I am looking forward to working with these guys individually.”

After posting a career-low single round score yesterday, West carded a career-low tournament score of 8-under 208 and tied for 15th place. Junior Forrest Gamble carded a three-round score of 4-under 212 and tied for 24th place, a season-best.

Sophomore Ben Wolcott finished tied for 29th place, firing a three-round score of 3-under 213. Wolcott has finished in the top 30 in all tournaments this season.

Junior Connor Davis tied for 50th place, posting a three-round total of 218. Freshman Josh Seiple, who competed as an individual, finished tied for 61st place.

The Princeville Invitational marked the Rebels’ final tournament of the fall. Ole Miss will tee off in the spring at the South Alabama Invitational of Feb. 23 in Mobile, Alabama.
