Coach McRoberts Weekly Press Conference

Ole Miss head coach Steven McRoberts met with members of the media Monday to discuss the team's win over Georgia and the road ahead.
Opening Statement
"We are very happy for Coach (Matt) Mott and the soccer program. We're all over in the same area so we get to see each other as a coaching staff, but we also get to see our teams and the effort and the time that they put in. Its coming around full circle for him and just glad for them that they're getting these quality wins and making their way up into the top 25 in the nation. Proud of him because I know the time and effort that he has put into that program to put it where it is."
On win over Georgia
"Last Friday night we beat Georgia 3-0, any win in the SEC is a great win. One of the things with it being homecoming weekend and having Square Jam going on, I was a little cynical. I thought maybe nobody was going to be in the gym for the match and even had heard some of the players talk saying they thought maybe 100 people might show up. We had over 600 in the gym which says a lot for these young ladies and what they've done over the last year and a half that people want to come even when a lot of other things are going on. It helps us. Kristen Brashear had a great night for us, she had 20 digs. She had 11 digs in the first set. I'm proud for her. We also have both of our middle blockers Ty Laporte and Nakeyta Clair hitting .400 or better in the league now. I feel like our outside hitters are starting to come on."
On this Week
"We took some positive steps as a team last week, but this is going to be a big week for us. We haven't been really competitive on the road in the SEC and this weekend we go to Missouri on Friday and we go to Arkansas on Sunday. Both top 30 RPI teams. Missouri just suffered their first loss in the league yesterday at Alabama in five and then Arkansas suffered their second loss in the league, with their first loss coming to Kentucky and yesterday to Tennessee. We get them both when they're pretty angry. We're motivated and looking forward to the challenge. We're just trying to improve everyday and I feel like were taking those positive steps to do that."
