Rebels Complete Second Round of U.S. Collegiate Championship

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Junior Noah West fired a 2-over par 74 Saturday to pace the Ole Miss men's golf team in the second round of the U.S. Collegiate Championship.
West, who carded a 2-under 70 in the opening round Friday, posted a birdie on the 607-yard, par 5 No. 11, and is tied for 22nd individually heading into the tomorrow's final round. As a team, the Rebels posted a team score of 303, and sit in 16th place with a two-round total of 595.
Freshman Beau Briggs posted three birdies on the back nine, including two in his final two holes, and finished the day with a of 3-over 75.
Fellow Freshman Braden Thornberry and junior Ben Wolcott each posted rounds of 5-over 77 Saturday. Thornberry is tied for 50th with a two-day total of 149 and Wolcott is tied for 74th at 153. Senior Forrest Gamble also sits in a tie for 74th heading into tomorrow's final round.
