Ole Miss golfers head to Georgia Lady Bulldog Invitational

Rebels Travel to Georgia For Lady Bulldog Individual

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's golf team will send Abby Newton (Katy, Texas), Sofia Idoyaga (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Kaitlin Voll (Alpharetta, Ga.) to the third annual Georgia Lady Bulldog Individual on Saturday at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.

Freshman Idoyaga will be making her first career appearance at the tournament while Newton and Voll will each be making their second appearance. Newton took fourth place at the Lady Bulldog in 2012-13 while last year Voll placed 34th.

The one-day tournament features 36 holes of stroke play and will be a shotgun start at 8:45 Players will play continuously in the hopes of getting the full 36 holes completed. The course, which hosted the 2013 NCAA Championship, is Par 72 - 6331 yards.

There will be individuals from Auburn, Coastal Carolina, Dalton State, Georgia, Mercer, Ole Miss, Samford, Tennessee, UNC Greensboro and Youngstown State competing with the Rebels on Saturday.

There will be no live scoring for this event, but final results and an event recap will be available on OleMissSports.com at the conclusion of the event.

Ole Miss will host its own individual championship at the Oxford Country Club on Saturday, Feb. 21 before jumping into the spring competition season at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami, Florida March 2-4 at the Biltmore in Coral Gables.
