Hartono Named SEC Freshman of the Week

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss women's tennis freshman Arianne Hartono picked up another honor Wednesday, as she was named the SEC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

Hartono went 4-0 in singles and doubles to help lead the Rebels to consecutive sweeps of No. 44 Arkansas and Missouri, as the Rebels improved to 10-3 overall, 2-2 in the SEC. The Rebels remained undefeated at home (6-0).

The Meppel, Netherlands native dropped only 14 games total in four matches and improved to 16-7 overall, 7-3 at No. 2 singles and 3-1 in the SEC. She also improved to 14-6 in doubles with Mai El Kamash, 7-2 at No. 3, 3-1 in the SEC.

This marks the third weekly honor for the Rebels this season, as Julia Jones was named SEC Player of the Week on Jan. 21.

The Rebels are back in action this weekend, hosting No. 6 Alabama Friday at 5 p.m. and No. 31 Auburn Sunday at 1 p.m.
