Wolcott Propels Rebels on Day Two of Tiger Invitational

OPELIKA, Ala. - Sophomore Ben Wolcott and senior Blake Morris each carded a 2-over par 74 to lead the Rebels in the second round of the Tiger Invitational hosted by Auburn University at the 7149-yard Grand National Lake Course.
Wolcott, who is tied for 25th place, posted a two-round score of 3-over 147. Morris is tied for 29th place with junior Forrest Gamble, each carding a 4-over 148 through two rounds.
"Today was our worst round of golf this year," head coach Chris Malloy said. "We didn't do many things well at all and that is uncharacteristic of this group. As I have said since day one, I want a group of mentally tough guys and we were not that today. We have a great opportunity sitting in front of us tomorrow, and I look forward to watching how these guys handle it."
The Rebels are in 10th place with a two-round score of 20-over 596. The host Tigers sit atop the leaderboard with a score of 13-under 563. Freshman Josh Seiple and sophomore Noah West, who is competing as an individual, are tied for 57th place. Senior Joe Lewis is in 82nd place after two rounds.
The third and final round of the Tiger Invitational will tee off tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Live scoring for the third round can be found here.
