OXFORD, Miss. - One day after the Ole Miss men's tennis team announced a Croatian signee, women's tennis head coach Mark Beyers introduced Tea Jandric of Zagreb, Croatia to the Rebel family. She will join the Rebels this fall.
Jandric is ranked No. 1 in Croatia and has won the National Championship in under 18 singles and doubles in every age group. This summer she teamed up with rising sophomore Zvonimir Babic of the Ole Miss men's team to win the Croatian National Championship in Mixed Doubles.
"We are very excited to have Tea joining the Rebels this fall," Beyers said. "She is an extremely talented player who will help our team get better immediately. Tea's groundstrokes are the strength of her game, but I believe she has the athleticism and ability to improve in every aspect of her game."
In addition, Jandric participated in the European Championship under 18 and the European Youth Olympic Festival games. She also played for the Croatia National Team in every age group.
Jandric completes a recruiting class that includes five-star Allie Sanford (Phoenix, Arizona) and Tereza Janatová (The Czech Republic).
