OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss football and soccer reported to campus last week for the start of preseason camp, and this week it was volleyball's turn to report. After a day of checking in, meetings and team activities, the Rebels kicked off preseason practice Tuesday at the Gillom Sports Center.

Christmas in Augustรขโ‚ฌยฆ
Monday, the players reported to campus and moved in, before taking part in several meetings throughout the afternoon. Probably the most exciting part of the day for all the players is the unveiling of the new gear. It's like Christmas in August. That evening players and coaches enjoyed a team dinner on the square.

First Practiceรขโ‚ฌยฆ
While the entire team was on campus for the second summer term, coaches were not allowed to watch them practice, so Tuesday meant the first time seeing the complete squad on the floor together. The Rebels worked on ball control and serve receive during the first of two team practices with position practices sandwiched in between.

It's our Timeรขโ‚ฌยฆ
With six starters returning, all of whom helped the Rebels to the best record (22-10) in seven years in 2014, head coach Steven McRoberts message to the team Tuesday was one of "It's our time." The Rebels came close last year to making the NCAA Championships, and this year they are aiming to improve upon their finish in the SEC in order to reach their goal of playing in December.

Welcome Backรขโ‚ฌยฆ
Leading the list of eight returnees is All-American Nakeyta Clair, who set the single season record for kills last year with 366. Her summer included participating in the USA Collegiate National Team Program, along with junior Melanie Crow, who posted the second most kills in a season with 352, and set the single season record for aces (42). Junior setter Aubrey Edie returns for her third season as the "quarterback" of the team. She is coming off a record-setting season as well, with a single-season 1,322 assists.

Happy Birthday...
Junior Aubrey Edie not only celebrated the start of camp, but her birthday as well. We caught up with her after practice to get her thoughts on the start of her third season with the Rebels.

Who's that?...

Coach McRoberts put his stamp on the program with his first recruiting class last November, and Monday the Rebels welcomed seven new players to camp. During the next week fans will get to know the newcomers, as we feature one each day.

Meet the Rebelsรขโ‚ฌยฆ
Ole Miss fans should make their plans for 2015 Meet the Rebels Day presented By Cannon Motors, Aug. 15. Members of the squad will be autographing new team posters and visiting with fans from 1 until 3 p.m., at the Manning Center. Fans posting on social media about their Meet the Rebels Day experience should use the hashtag #MeetTheRebels.
