ITA Preseason Rankings | All-American Championship Selections

OXFORD, Miss. - The first full team practice for the Ole Miss women's tennis team began this week, and Tuesday the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the Oracle preseason singles and doubles rankings as well as the All-American Championship selections.

Oracle/ITA Rankings
Three Rebels are represented in the rankings, led by sophomore All-SEC honoree Arianne Hartono, who checks in at No. 57 after a strong freshman debut, briefly interrupted by injury. The Netherlands native finished the 2015 season with an 18-10 record and made the SEC All-Freshman Team. Sophomore Natalie Suk begins the year ranked No. 87. She posted a 15-10 overall record in her first year in 2014. Senior Mai El Kamash finished with a 25-16 record in 2014 and begins her final campaign ranked No. 105 in singles and No. 41 in doubles with Suk.

"It's great to have three players ranked in the preseason singles rankings, as well as one doubles team in the preseason doubles rankings," head coach Mark Beyers said. "These girls earned that ranking by working hard and picking up a lot of ranked wins last year. It's a nice starting off point, but I know that all of these girls have bigger goals in mind!"

ITA All-American Selections
Three Rebels will represent Ole Miss in the year's first major, the Riviera All-American Championships, which takes place Oct. 3-11 in Pacific Palisades, California. Arianne Hartono earned a spot in the qualifying singles tournament, while Mai El Kamash and Natalie Suk will begin play in the prequalifying tournament. They are also in the doubles qualifying.

The Rebels will begin fall competition next weekend with some going to the Country Club of Little Rock Invitational and others participating in the UNVL Invitational.
