Opening Statementรขโ‚ฌยฆ
"Congratulations to coach Mott this weekend. As everyone knows, it is tough to get wins in the SEC, no matter what sport you're playing in. So I'm proud of our soccer team, they were able to bounce back after playing two tough teams. Hopefully, our team will look at that and continue to do the same."

On Florida and Mississippi Stateรขโ‚ฌยฆ
"Starting at Florida is never easy. They are ranked No. 5 in the country. We had a good week of practice, came out tough in the first two sets. It was a very competitive first match. The score was 15-15 before they went on a 10-4 run. In the second set, they were up 16-15, then they went up 24-19 before we cut it to 24-22. They would take the set. I don't know what happened in between the second and third set. We didn't play very well at all. As everyone in the room knows, it is a huge rivalry. We can throw the records out of the books, as they say. They have a new coach, which we talked about last week. They have new energy in the program. I don't think I did a very good job of getting my ream ready. I'll take responsibility for the way we came out yesterday. I'll be looking for a way this week to fix that."

On Brashear, Clair and Laporteรขโ‚ฌยฆ
"Kristen Brashear has been playing well for us as Libero. Both of our middles, Nakeyta Clair and Ty Laporte are still playing well for us. One thing that is hard is when we have two players hitting in the top 10 in hitting percentage, their position is reliant on other positions. If we aren't passing the ball well, we can't get the ball in a position to set them, and we'll struggle. That's what happened in the last match."

On this Weekend's Matchesรขโ‚ฌยฆ
"We have another split weekend. South Carolina comes in on Friday. We are both winless in the SEC right now, so it will be important for us to get a win. And then we go to Texas A&M on Sunday. Another good top 30-40 team in the nation. We have some things we need to figure out. Teams are making us be reliant on our pins, and we need to do our best to put our players in the best position to win."

On Freshman Kathryn Catherรขโ‚ฌยฆ
"You can't coach size. She is 6-2, and she has a good arm. We were pleasantly surprised with the start that she has had. Now that we have gotten in SEC play and teams are matching up better against her, she is coming back down to earth just a little bit. I'm pleased with where she is at right now. This is where, all of a sudden, freshmen are going to start hitting that learning curve. When they start SEC play, you know that the other team has a little bit more film on you, so you can't be as predictable as you were in preconference. Last week, we worked a lot with her. We thought she had a good match against Florida, for the most part. She's a great, aggressive server. A lot of coaches have commented on that. She's had a great year, but hopefully she will put the work in to be great. What we tell our players is, you can be good, or you can be great. The work that you have to put in to be great is harder. So that freshman year, she's trying to learn that."
