BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Ole Miss softball team will be featured seven times on national television in 2016 across the ESPN networks, the Southeastern Conference announced Friday with the release of the league's television schedule.

SEC Network will make four trips to the Ole Miss Softball Complex throughout the season, including two league contests. The 2016 season marks the second-straight year the Rebels will appear on national TV seven times.

All home games not broadcast on one of the network television channels will be available online as part of the SEC Network+ digital streaming platform.

The Rebels' first appearance nationally will be in a non-conference matchup March 16 against ULM at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. Two weeks later, a national audience will have the chance to watch rivals battle it out when Ole Miss visits Mississippi State. The second game of the series, played on Sunday, will air on ESPNU at 6 p.m. The following night in the series finale, the two teams will be featured in the SEC Network Game of the Week, also set for a 6 p.m. first pitch.

From there, the Rebels will play three times on SEC Network in a span of 11 days, including the road series finale at South Carolina (April 17), the middle game of the Arkansas series at home (April 23) and a non-conference contest versus UAB (April 27).

The TV schedule closes in Ole Miss' final series of the regular season with Tennessee on May 7, set for a noon first pitch at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.

A day later, the network closes out the regular season with another innovation: a softball "Bases Loaded" show on Sunday, May 8, the final day of games prior to the SEC Tournament. SEC Network's three-hour show will mark the first time the Bases Loaded concept has been used in the softball regular season. It will swing through the best moments of up to 14 teams scheduled to face off that day.

After a successful first year, SEC Network will continue to air every First Round and Second Round game in the SEC Softball Championship. The Semifinals will air on ESPNU and the Championship on ESPN. SEC Network's on-site studio plans for the tournament will be announced closer to the event's date.

The Rebels open the 2016 campaign Feb. 11-13 at the Oceanic Time Warner Cable Paradise Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii.
