CORAL GABLES, Fla. - The No. 25 ranked Ole Miss women's tennis team concluded play at the Miami Invitational Sunday picking up two more doubles wins against Vanderbilt and Miami, to wrap up their first weekend of competition for the 2016 season.

The Miami Invitational included players from No. 1 Vanderbilt, No. 13 Miami and No. 41 Texas.

Jandric/Milutinovic Earn Two Wins in Doubles…
Rain cancelled the first day of play and so Saturday's competition featured two rounds of singles and only one round of doubles. Sunday consisted of two rounds of doubles. Freshman Tea Jandric and senior Marija Milutinovic won twice. In their first match, the pair downed Fernanda Contreras and Summer Dvorak of Vanderbilt 6-1. In their second match, Jandric and Milutinovic defeated Silvia Fuentes and Clementina Riobueno of Miami 7-5. The 47th-ranked duo of senior Mai El Kamash and Arianne Hartono lost a pair of tiebreakers in their matches. In the first match against the No. 11 ranked team from Vanderbilt they lost 7-6(3) and then against Miami's Stephanie Wagner and Wendy Zhang, they lost 7-6(5).

Quoting Head Coach Mark Beyers…
"Even though we ended up losing two out of three doubles against Vanderbilt and Miami today, I was pretty happy about the way we played in doubles all weekend. Arianne and Mai played particularly well and are getting better each day. Getting these types of matches against the reigning NCAA Champion (Vanderbilt) and No. 12 Miami will really help us in the long run."

Next up…
The Rebels will return home to work on things they saw to improve on before opening up dual match play next Saturday with a doubleheader against Arkansas-Pine Bluff beginning at Noon at the Gillom Sports Center.
