Rebels Host Alabama Sunday

OXFORD, Miss. -- Join the Ole Miss volleyball team after church Sunday for Book it to The Pavilion as the Rebels welcome Alabama for a 1:30 p.m. match. Fans are encouraged to bring a book to the game in exchange for one free men's basketball ticket to the Dec. 15th game vs. Murray State.
For those who can't make it to the match or live out of town, you can watch on SEC Network+ via the WatchESPN app, with Will Kollmeyer and Renata Heard on the call.

• Ole Miss lost a tough five-setter to Auburn Wednesday at The Pavilion to fall to 12-9 overall and 1-7 in the SEC.
• The Rebels are now 5-3 for the season in five set matches.
• The Rebels defense broke the single match record for most digs with 105.
• In addition to recording her SEC leading 13th double-double and topping her career high in kills (25), junior outside hitter Lexi Thompson moved up to eighth all-time in kills at Ole Miss with 872.
• Sophomore Audrey Fischer made her first collegiate start at middle blocker.
• Senior Aubrey Edie tallied 53 assists, with 11 digs to record her seventh double-double of the season.
• Sophomore Caroline Adams made her second start at the libero position during SEC play this season tallying a career-high 24 digs.
• Junior middle blocker Taylor Alexander tallied 14 kills on a .478 hitting percentage.
• Junior outside hitter Kate Gibson tallied a career-high 26 digs.
• Lexi Thompson is making her way up the Ole Miss charts. With 872 kills she ranks eighth all-time and needs six to move to seventh. Thompson ranks ninth at Ole Miss in digs currently with 803. She needs 22 to move to eighth.
• Aubrey Edie recorded her 4,000th career assist in the win over Tennessee State and now has a school-record 4,366. She ranks sixth in the SEC with 10.49 assists per set. Edie is also fourth in the NCAA in active career assists with 4,419.
• Kathryn Cather ranks sixth in the SEC with a .357 hitting percentage and second in SEC matches only at .457. She is also averaging 3.55 kills (seventh) and 3.95 points per set (ninth) in SEC matches.
• Taylor Alexander ranks seventh in the SEC with a .354 attack percentage.
• Kate Gibson ranks ninth in the SEC overall with 3.54 kills per set and 10th in points per set at 3.88. Lexi Thompson ranks 10th in kills per set (3.28), 11th in points per set (3.72) and leads the SEC in double-doubles with 13. Gibson ranks third with nine double-doubles.
Scouting Alabama
Alabama comes into the weekend at 14-6 overall and 3-4 in the SEC. The Crimson Tide play at Arkansas Friday night before coming to Oxford. Alabama is led by senior middle blocker Krystal Rivers, who ranks first in the SEC in kills per set (5.84) and points per set (6.54). She also leads the Crimson Tide in hitting percentage at .314.
Rebels vs. Crimson Tide
Alabama leads the all-time series against Ole Miss 43-21, but the Rebels have won three straight, including a 3-1 victory in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 20 last year. The two teams will meet again this season on Nov. 23 in Tuscaloosa.
