Softball To Hold Open Scrimmage Saturday

OXFORD, Miss. - In advance of the exciting softball season on deck, Ole Miss Softball fans will have the chance to check out the 2016 Rebels Saturday in an open scrimmage at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
The scrimmage will begin at approximately 11 a.m. following a game-like pregame batting practice session.
Ole Miss returns 12 letterwinners and seven position starters from last season, as well as two pitchers. The Rebels welcome 11 newcomers to the squad, including five transfers and six true freshmen. The club is looking to build off last year's success after tying the record for most wins in a season at 30.
Ole Miss opens the campaign Feb. 11-13 at the Oceanic Time Warner Cable Paradise Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Rebels will face UMKC in its first outing of the year, followed by contests versus Saint Mary's and Hawaii.
