Starting Five
1.The Rebels held Alabama to just 48 points but couldn't overcome a poor shooting performance, dropping 48-37 road contest to the Crimson Tide. Shandricka Sessom led Ole Miss with 15 points for her sixth straight game in double figures while A'Queen Hayes added a team-best seven rebounds and five steals.
2.With her 15 points against Alabama, Shandricka Sessom has now posted six straight games in double figures and has tallied double digits in 20 of Ole Miss 22 games this season. Sessom is averaging 16.4 points per game, which ranks her as the No. 6 scorer in the SEC. She is averaging 16.1 ppg over the last six games after scoring just eight points against Florida on Jan. 10.
3. A'Queen Hayes is regaining her SEC All-Freshman selection form from a year ago. In the last five games Hayes is averaging 9.0 points per game, 6.6 rebounds per game and 3.0 steals per game. In SEC play she's averaging 6.1 points per game and is Ole Miss third leading scorer against SEC foes.
4. Ole Miss is arguably the youngest team in the SEC this season. Ole Miss has 13 players on the roster and nine of those players are freshmen or sophomores. The Rebels are the lone team in the SEC without a senior and Ole Miss has only two players who have been in the program for more than two years in Shequila Joseph and Bretta Hart.
5. Ole Miss and Georgia will be meeting for the 44th time on Sunday with the Bulldogs owning a 31-12 lead despite the Rebels earning a 55-52 win last season in Oxford.
