OXFORD, Miss. - The No. 15 ranked Ole Miss Rifle team hits the road for a neutral-site match against No. 9 Memphis Tuesday in Jacksonville, Alabama. The match starts at 8 a.m., CT, from the Gamecock Rifle Range.

This will be the first of the three matches for the Rebels this week and their first competition since shooting a season-high aggregate score at the Withrow Invitational two weeks ago.

The Competition…
Memphis returns to competition for the first time since it finished third in a tri-match with No. 2 Murray State and No. 3 Kentucky Jan. 30. Senior Beth Lee and junior Amy Fister each posted top-15 scores in both smallbore and air rifle, and Fister posted an 11th-place finish in aggregate score. Freshman Leighton Dempster shot a season-best 591 in air rifle.

Rebel Rewind…
In their last action, Ole Miss fired a season-high 4637 aggregate score at the Withrow Invitational in Murray, Kentucky. The team shot a season-high of 2280 in smallbore with freshman Harley Gardner posting a career-best of 576 to lead the Rebels. Harley Gardner also shot a personal best in air rifle with a 586.

Quoting Head Coach Valerie Boothe…
"Training has been going well since our last competition, and we are confident that we can continue the momentum started in Murray. We are excited for the match-up. Memphis is a quality team and we are looking forward to the challenge."
