OXFORD, Miss. - After splitting a pair of matches on the opening weekend of Southeastern Conference play, the Ole Miss women's tennis team heads out on the road this weekend to face No. 15 LSU and No. 16 Texas A&M.

The Rebels will face LSU Friday at 4 p.m., in Baton Rouge and then head to College Station Sunday to play Texas A&M at 12 p.m.

Last time out...
Last weekend, the Rebels dropped a 4-0 match to No. 7 Georgia on Friday and then downed Tennessee 4-1 on Sunday to improve to 8-1 overall, 1-1 in the SEC. Against Tennessee, the Rebels won the doubles point and picked up singles wins from Tea Jandric, Zalina Khairudinova and Marija Milutinovic at four, five and six.

Scouting LSU...
LSU (12-4, 1-1 SEC) split its opening weekend of conference play on the road with a win over Alabama and a loss to Auburn. The Tigers boast two players in the singles rankings No. 20 Joanna Vale Costa and No. 46 Jessica Golovin.

Scouting Texas A&M...
No. 14 Texas A&M opened SEC play on the road last weekend, falling at No. 29 Auburn, 4-2, snapping the Aggies' four-match win streak. A&M rebounded with a 4-1 win at Alabama to improve to 9-4 overall and 1-1 in the SEC. Senior Ines Deheza won both of her singles matches to extend her win streak to six, tying freshman Domenica Gonzalez for the team lead.

Rebels vs. LSU and A&M ...
Ole Miss lost a tight 4-2 match to LSU in Oxford last year that included four three-setters. The last time the two teams met in Baton Rouge (2014), the Rebels won 4-1. The Rebels are looking for their first win against Texas A&M since the Aggies joined the SEC. Last year's meeting in Oxford came down to a couple of three-setters after the Rebels won the doubles point and at No. 1 singles to take a 2-1 lead. A&M won two matches 6-4 in the third to complete the comeback, 4-2.

Top of the Lineup...
The Rebels are a combined 16-4 at the top of the lineup. Arianne Hartono is 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Natalie Suk is 4-0 at No. 2 and Mai El Kamash is 3-1 at No. 3 singles. Suk played one match at No. 1 and El Kamash played once at No. 2.

Rebel streaks...
Freshman Tea Jandric has won seven in a row and is 7-0 in dual matches, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Zalina Khairudinova and Mai El Kamash have won four in a row.

Quoting Head Coach Mark Beyers...
"Obviously it's another big weekend for us as all these SEC weekends will be with 10 teams in the top 30. We had close matches with both teams last year, so we know it will be a battle. We are looking forward to the challenge and hopefully we can play well and pull out a couple wins."
