BATON ROUGE, La. - The Ole Miss women's golf team completed the second round of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic Monday and sits in 16th place after 36 holes with a two-day score of 643 (320-323 -643).

Junior Madisen Bentley (University Place, Wash.) had the best scorecard for Ole Miss on Monday, carding a 6-over par 78 at the University Golf Club near the LSU campus. Her performance was anchored by a solid even-par front nine where she hedged her one bogey with a birdie on the par-5 sixth hole.

Close behind Bentley was junior Maria Toennessen (Grimstad, Norway) who posted an 8-over par 80. Toennessen carded a pair of birdies on the back nine to highlight her day. Toennessen is rounding back into form after being sidelines with knee injuries in the fall.

For the second consecutive tournament, the Rebels are a part of a loaded field at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic. There are four teams from the top 25 including Duke and Arkansas who rank No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. In total, nine of the teams in the 17-team field rank in the top 50.

The Rebels are back on the course Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. CT for the final round of the 2016 LSU Tiger Golf Classic. Tee off will be in a shotgun format, and fans can follow along with live scoring via GolfStat.
